XpresSpa brings on-demand spa services to T5
In Chicago first, travelers can indulge in spa treatments before or after boarding flights
For the first time ever in Chicago, travelers at O’Hare International Airport’s Terminal 5 will have an opportunity to indulge in custom spa and salon treatments before or after boarding a flight with the opening of XpresSpa. The debut is part of a massive transformation currently underway at Terminal 5 by Westfield, bringing 15 new dining and retail brands, cutting-edge design and new passenger amenities throughout.
Located post-security in order to conveniently serve travelers near their gate areas, XpresSpa offers premium services such as massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, and hot shaves. Luxury bath and body care products, nail care, spa therapy and decorative soap are also available for purchase. XpresSpa is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily and accepts walk-ins and pre-made appointments. To request an appointment in advance, call (773) 894-8719 or email email@example.com.
As part of its commitment to serving the community, the T5 XpresSpa supports local producers such as Chicago-based Abbey Brown Soaps, as well as Sweet Beginnings LLC’s line of beelove™ skin care products made with honey hailing from an urban apiary Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood.
As Westfield’s redevelopment of the concessions program at Terminal 5 continues, travelers have already experienced significant upgrades with a redeveloped, more efficient TSA checkpoint, new luxury amenities, and new restaurants and shops. Previously, 95 percent of the terminal’s dining and retail options were located pre-security, making it difficult for passengers to access dining and shopping while waiting for flights. The redeveloped terminal will offer a re-engineered layout, including a new TSA checkpoint and a European-style pass-through duty-free shop, to enhance the traveler experience.
